It is a bright and nice cabin with tiled floors. The common areas consist of a kitchen, dining room, loft and living room in one large room. This gives the cabin a good and practical layout. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, and right next to the kitchen is the dining table, which has two benches on each side with sheepskin on it. The living room is open and nice with high ceilings, and contains soft sofas, TV, and fireplace. The loft leads up from the living room and contains a small TV nook with Netflix available for our guests. The cabin contains a large and nice terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The area around the cabin consists of great walking opportunities arranged for both cycling and walking tours. Not far away you will find small centers such as Ringebu and Fåvang where there are shops, petrol stations and eateries. About half an hour's drive away you will find Hunderfossen family park in the south and Fron water park in the north.

The owner can assist with the transport of luggage between the car park and the cabin on arrival and departure if desired. Boats can be rented in the period 1.5-1.10 Sandhornøya is known for its beautiful coastal landscape. A marked hiking trail goes up from Horsdal to the mountain peak Sandhornet. From the top of the mountain there is a magnificent view of the ocean and the many islands beyond and the Lofoten Islands to the north. 8 km to Langsanden on the island's west side, which is an idyllic sandy beach where you can wade and swim and enjoy the fresh sea air. When the midnight sun shines in spring and summer, the area is incredibly beautiful. Sandhornøya has a bridge connection to the mainland. Car trips are recommended to the Saltstraumen, which is the world's strongest tidal current, and to the coastal town of Bodø in the north with many sights, including Aviation museum where old historic aircraft can be seen. In the south, the Svartisen glacier can be seen in the Holandsfjorden.

Beautiful archipelago with islands where you can go ashore and spend the night in a tent or under the open sky. On Martaholmen, a short boat trip from the harbor, there is a great beach and cliffs. Eastward on the island, you come to “The Dancing Floor”, a large stone plateau where the locals used to have dance parties in the old days.

A minor road runs between the house and the beach, where there can be a lot of traffic in the summer, but little traffic the rest of the year.
