There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a family bunk, where the lower bunk is 120 cm wide. TV in the living room downstairs as well as a TV room on the first floor where you can enjoy a movie (only streaming on the first floor, no channels as on the ground floor). Well-equipped kitchen with dining area, where you can gather over a better meal - perhaps with fish you have caught yourself? The cabin has a large terrace as well as a balcony on the first floor. Please note that the stairs are quite steep and that the rooms on the first floor have partly sloping ceilings. Here you have a wonderful closeness to nature, both in summer and winter. Alpine center and ski slopes only a few hundred meters from the cabin. In the summer, Rauland has many great hiking opportunities, as well as exciting activities such as moose safaris, sculpture walks and good fishing opportunities. For those interested in history, it is only a 45-minute drive to Rjukan, where you can follow the forerunners of Norwegian war and/or industrial history. 4-wheel drive is recommended during winter. Alternatively, the car can be parked approx. 200 m from the cabin. NB: You will need to bring your own bed linen.

Eagles are constantly hovering over the roof, and there are a lot of moose in the area. In winter, it is great to observe the northern lights. The shipping lane passes by and the Hurtigruten passes daily. The area has a great hiking terrain with many hiking trails along the fjord and in the mountains. Good starting point for day trips by car or bus around Vesterålen and Lofoten. At Andenes, whale watching with boats out at sea is an exciting experience for the whole family; here the big whales can be experienced up close. Visit the many small fishing villages out on the west side of Langøya and Andøya, or drive an hour to the fishing village Nyksynd in Øksnes and to beautiful fishing villages in Bø in Vesterålen. Fishing has been a way of life for people for generations in the region. 10 km to the coastal town of Sortland which is Lofoten and Vesterålen's shopping center with many shops and restaurants. Further south is the fishing village Laukvik with the open sea outside, here you can walk along the large pier that protects the harbor and enjoy the salty sea air. 43 km to Svolvær, which is the capital of Lofoten. Great starting point for car trips around Lofoten and Vesterålen through the car ferry from Fiskebøl to Melbu. Great sea fishing. You can fish inside the fjord or in the open sea area outside. In addition to ordinary sea fish, there is salmon and sea trout in the fjord. 20 foot self-draining open boat with steering console and 60 hp engine can be rented, echo sounder, chart plotter, gps and pole holders for rent as well. The boats are located at the floating dock in the marina at Fiskebøl, 9 km from the house. The boats are available 1.5-1.10 and must be booked in advance.

New and beautiful log cabin located on a hill with a beautiful view of Hurdalssjøen. From the terrace with barbecue and outdoor fireplace you can enjoy the view over the wonderful surroundings. The cottage contains a large living and dining room, 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. There is a small loft above the living room if anyone wants to crawl up there and sleep. Waterborne underfloor heating throughout the cottage. Wood burning stove; one sack of firewood is included. If you want more firewood, you need to take care of it yourself. Hurdal offers beautiful fishing lakes, beaches, and skiing opportunities. The lake Hurdalssjøen is right nearby, here you can fish for pike and perch. The beautiful beach Å beach is about 3 km away with a lovely sandy beach, small benches and barbecue area. Hurdalssjøen Hotel has a pool and spa area which can be used by everyone for a fee. Råholt water park is only a 15-minute drive away. Alpaca hiking is also an activity you can take part in in Hurdal, trips of about 2 hours can be arranged for a fee. Lots of berries and mushrooms in the area. The nice farm shop Loftet at Eidsvoll is worth a visit, here you can shop and have lunch in the cozy café. In winter, you will find groomed cross-country trails right by the cottage. 10 km from Hurdal Ski Center with several slopes for both adults and children and a cafe with drinks and snacks. An hour to Oslo by car or train. If you are tempted by a summer trip aboard Skibladner, the world's oldest wheeled steamer in operation, it is just under an hour's drive to the harbor at Hamar, Kapp or Gjøvik.
