Rendalen is a gem and known for its great skiing, hiking, hunting, and fishing opportunities. With the cabin as a starting point, the whole family can go on great walks in the forest and mountains. If you are interested in sports and the outdoors, the area has a wide selection of activities throughout the year. Storsjøen has swimming and fishing opportunities. Here there is a reindeer herd and generally a rich animal life. The area offers marked and unmarked paths for hiking and cycling. Ski resorts only 600 meters away and cross-country trails only 150 m from the cabin. At Bjørnehiet Pub at the alpine resort, you can buy pizza/hamburgers etc. Great fishing opportunities in e.g. Åkrestrømmen and the river Mistra, one of Norway's best trout rivers.

The cottage has sleepingspace for 8 persons. 2 bedrooms downstairs, one with double bed and one with 2 bunk beds. 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, both with double bed. There are a wealth of activities and places to visit nearby, e.g. Lyngdal ca. 13 km away, a cozy little town with shopping streets, restaurants, library and cinema. Norway's southernmost underwater restaurant in Spangereid 17 km, where you will also find the Spangereid Canal. Zoo for the little ones in Mandal (45 km) and 98 km to the famous zoo in Kristiansand. Modern and cozy cabin on two floors built in 2010. The cabin is located on Vegglifjell north, 755 masl with a view of Blefjell in the east and Hardangervidda in the west. The cottage is well equipped with all amenities. The kitchen has plenty of space and is well equipped. The TV in the living room has a chromecast that can be connected to a mobile device such as a PC, telephone, iPad, etc. Good and stable WIFI network. In the hallway, there is a large wardrobe and underfloor heating. The bathroom has ample closet space, shower cubicle, towel warmer, washing machine and underfloor heating. The cottage has three bedrooms with good beds and a loft living room. The cottage has a terrace facing west (covered) and south, about 60 sqm. Dining table with 6 chairs, lounge sofa with table and two chairs, 2 sun loungers with stool and also parasol, fire pan, gas grill and charcoal grill. From the terrace you can walk straight out to the natural plot. The cottage also has a covered south-facing balcony on the 2nd floor. Vegglifjell is in the heart of Nummedal between Kongsberg and Geilo. Here you will find great marked ski trails, hiking, and biking trails approx. 30 meters from the cottage, and it is only 2.4 km to Veggli Fjellstue on skis. Veggli Ski Center is only a short drive away (approx. 5 min) by car. There are 13 fishing lakes in the area, as well as Lågen which is a well-known fishing river. In the area, you can also find cranberries, blueberries, and mulberries. Approx. approx. 2 hours and 15 min to drive to the cabin from Oslo. From Drammen it is approx. 1 hour and 45 min. and from Kongsberg approx. 1 hour. In Lampeland and Veggli, there are fast charging stations for electric cars, including Tesla. Veggli center (approx. 10 min drive from the cottage) has a center with grocery store, café, and flower shop. In addition, you will find a petrol station, art shop, bakery and Veggli Inn with accommodation and a café/restaurant in the "center". To get to the cabin, there is a road barrier at 70 NOK, to be paid by card or Vipps.

There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a family bunk, where the lower bunk is 120 cm wide. TV in the living room downstairs as well as a TV room on the first floor where you can enjoy a movie (only streaming on the first floor, no channels as on the ground floor). Well-equipped kitchen with dining area, where you can gather over a better meal - perhaps with fish you have caught yourself? The cabin has a large terrace as well as a balcony on the first floor. Please note that the stairs are quite steep and that the rooms on the first floor have partly sloping ceilings. Here you have a wonderful closeness to nature, both in summer and winter. Alpine center and ski slopes only a few hundred meters from the cabin. In the summer, Rauland has many great hiking opportunities, as well as exciting activities such as moose safaris, sculpture walks and good fishing opportunities. For those interested in history, it is only a 45-minute drive to Rjukan, where you can follow the forerunners of Norwegian war and/or industrial history. 4-wheel drive is recommended during winter. Alternatively, the car can be parked approx. 200 m from the cabin. NB: You will need to bring your own bed linen.

Eagles are constantly hovering over the roof, and there are a lot of moose in the area. In winter, it is great to observe the northern lights. The shipping lane passes by and the Hurtigruten passes daily. The area has a great hiking terrain with many hiking trails along the fjord and in the mountains. Good starting point for day trips by car or bus around Vesterålen and Lofoten. At Andenes, whale watching with boats out at sea is an exciting experience for the whole family; here the big whales can be experienced up close. Visit the many small fishing villages out on the west side of Langøya and Andøya, or drive an hour to the fishing village Nyksynd in Øksnes and to beautiful fishing villages in Bø in Vesterålen. Fishing has been a way of life for people for generations in the region. 10 km to the coastal town of Sortland which is Lofoten and Vesterålen's shopping center with many shops and restaurants.
