Right on the edge of Southern Hjälmaren, near the small village of Läppe in Södermanland, lies this paradise. The cottage, originally from the 19th century, has been renovated and extended while preserving its original charm. The property is on multiple levels, with fencing both towards the lake and the road, which is occasionally trafficked. In the older part of the cottage, you'll find an entrance through a beautiful original glass veranda, where you can enjoy your morning coffee. From here, you enter a hallway with stairs leading up to the charming attic loft with three single beds, and access to the kitchen, where the stove and fridge/freezer are new, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay—though we do wash dishes by hand. Moving into the dining room, there is plenty of seating around the table and a charming open fireplace where you can make a cozy fire on chilly days. In the newly built extension, there is an additional entrance. Here you'll find a fresh bathroom equipped with a washing machine and another bedroom with a very comfortable double bed. The living room has an open ceiling up to the roof and large windows facing Hjälmaren. Upstairs, there is a loft with a double bed. On the lakeside, there is a wonderful terrace with garden furniture, perfect for lingering late into the evening to enjoy the view. A charcoal grill is available for your use. Stairs lead down to the lake where you’ll find a private dock, perfect for sunbathing and swimming, with a convenient swimming ladder. If you want to head out on the lake, there's a rowboat available, located beside the property in a small bay. For services, shops, and restaurants, Vingåker is about a 20-minute drive away. At Hjälmaregården, you'll find a large sandy beach, as well as a simple café/pizza place and a kiosk open during the summer. For golf enthusiasts, Vingåker Golf Club is about 20 minutes away, with a beautiful 18-hole course by Lake Kolsnaren. Warmly welcome!

In Läppe, Södermanland, you will find this comfortable cottage located on the owner’s property, beautifully situated with a view of the southern part of Lake Hjälmaren. The cottage consists of a large living room with a well-equipped kitchen area and a dining space by the window where you can gaze down towards the waters of Hjälmaren. There is a soft and comfortable sofa where you can relax after the day's activities, perhaps watching something relaxing on the TV. At night, the sofa transforms into a comfortable bed. Additional sleeping places are available in the alcove, where there are two beds with comfortable mattresses in a bunk bed. From the alcove, you can step out onto the terrace, which has garden furniture and a grill. This is a great spot to sit in the evenings and enjoy the lovely views. The cottage's bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink and incineration toilette. Put on your bathrobe, pack a picnic basket, and take a short walk to Hjälmarebaden, where you'll find a large beach with a sandy shore, a kiosk for ice cream and sandwhiches during the summer. Explore the Sörmland area, which offers many hiking trails and nature reserves. You can drive to the Hampetorp ferry terminal and take the ferry over to Vinön. A tip is to park your car on the mainland. Vinön is an island that invites you to enjoy wonderful walks and cozy swimming spots. There are also restaurants on the island, so you won’t go hungry.Vingåker is nearby and offers a good range of services, shops, and restaurants.
