Welcome to Värmland and Grimbråten, a beautiful property on a hillside with scenic surroundings and a lake view over Vänern. Here you will find peace for body and soul and a perfect holiday spot for a family or a group of seven people. In this Swedish rural idyll, you will thoroughly enjoy being close to several lovely swimming spots along Vänern, which is Sweden's largest lake. The house has a large terrace with seating areas for cozy evenings and dinners. There is a wood-fired hot tub under a roof, and firewood can be purchased from the owners on-site. Your furry friends are welcome here. You are welcomed to three different buildings. First, the main house, which has a kitchen and a living room with a fireplace and a TV with Swedish channels. There are two bedrooms with three single beds, and in one of the rooms, the beds can be pushed together to make a double bed. Close by is the small house with two bunk beds, perfect for children and teenagers, and in a separate little building is the nice bathroom for both houses with a shower, WC, washing machine, and sink. The hot tub, situated on the terrace, is under a roof in a cozy environment with seating benches and is a very relaxing place. The beach is about 400 meters from the cabin, and there is a footpath or road for those who prefer to drive. It is a child-friendly sandy beach with shallow water. The cabin has a large yard for socializing and playing, and it is located high up on the hill with nature right at your doorstep. During the right season, you can pick mushrooms and berries. Are you curious about what there is to do in Värmland? The region is particularly known for its beautiful nature, but also a rich cultural life with several famous authors and artists. In Värmland, there is always something fun to do or some interesting sight to visit. About 25 kilometers away is Säffle center, close to restaurants, cafes, and events. Take a walk and explore Nysäter and its surroundings; there is much to discover here. At Duse Udde and Ekenäs, there are more reasons to stop by; enjoy delicious food and coffee at the restaurant, hike in the archipelago nature, and take a dip in Vänern. In the middle of Vänern is Lurö Guest Harbor, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the archipelago after a day of activities. The guest harbor in Säffle is centrally located with walking distance to shopping, cafes, restaurants, and mini-golf. Come and experience Värmland up close!

In the small cabin area you will find this nice cabin, which is only 10 meters down to the beach with its large balcony overlooking beautiful Lake Vänern. On the balcony you can enjoy the panoramic view. At the large table on the balcony, there is plenty of room to sit and enjoy your morning cup or the evening's dinner that has been prepared on the grill. In the entrance you enter the hall and to the left you enter the bedroom. In here there is a double bed of 160 cm and a bunk bed of 80 cm. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa that can easily be converted into a 120 cm sofa bed. On the slightly colder days, you can sit inside around the dining table and hear the crackling and feel the warmth from the fireplace that is here. The kitchen is well planned with large surfaces. Along the hall there is a smaller toilet. In a side building there is a large sauna that can accommodate 6 people, as well as a large bathroom with shower and washing machine. If you want to test your fishing luck, there is a boat and a rowing boat included in the rent. Or you can go to the Säffle center in Byälven, where there is one of Sweden's best fishing waters for zander etc. Behind the house you can connect to the nice hiking trails that are well marked. Only a 27-minute drive away, you can visit Värmland's Viking Center. Here it is told about how the Vikings lived and about the ancient history of Värmland as well as about older crafts and about the construction of the ship Glad. There is also a playground and stone labyrinth here, which are just as exciting for young and old.

This nice cottage is located right next to the Lake Vänern in a perfect western location. Here it is close to water and nature and you have about 100 meters distance to the bathing place in Lake Vänern. For those of you who have a boat and want to fish, there is a loading ramp so that you can easily get out on Lake Vänern and explore the beautiful islands around Värmlandsnäs. You are welcomed to a nice and bright cottage with a flexible floor plan and a large, lovely, glazed terrace. At the entrance you have a large porch without a roof where you can relax in the sun. You are welcomed into a small hall, bedroom with double bed you have to your right side, bathroom straight ahead, to the left of the hall is the kitchen, which is shared with the living room. Inside the living room is the cottage's second bedroom with double bed. By the large, glazed terrace there is room for a wonderful meal, breakfasts, barbecue food or other small and good things you might want during your holiday. The whole area, which is a new construction project, is nice and fresh, it is admirably beautiful when you only have Lake Vänern at your disposal at a distance of about 150 meters. Things to do nearby: In addition to swimming and fishing and relaxing on site, there is much you can do, an example is hiking on Värmlandsnäs. At the far end of Värmlandsnäs you will find Ekenäs, from there the walking trails Ladholmens- and Åkerhusleden start. Here you get a fantastic view of Lake Vänern. Ladhusleden starts from the guest harbor and is partly handicapped accessible. For those of you who are interested in culture, we suggest a visit to “von Echstedska garden” - art museum. There you can have a coffee, walk around the herb garden, and experience the house in all its glory, a visit to the culture house Silvenska which is a beautiful culture house filled with activities such as art exhibitions and handicraft sales. Or why not visit Värmlands Vikingacenters, which is a beautiful historical place suitable for all ages. There are many options here, get there by bike, boat, canoe, or hike. There are plenty of berries and mushrooms in the woods and on the ground.
