In the neighboring community Slottet are the remains of an ancient castle located on a high mountain with a mile-long view of sea and land, a perfect excursion destination for a coffee break. A Viking market is also held there in early August. Hamburgsund is the area's largest town, here are fine shops, restaurants, café, fishmongers, mini golf and several nice bathing spots. Here you can also rent a kayak, try diving, go on boat charters and archipelago boats to see the fantastic archipelago, e.g. to the old lighthouse and pilot lookout on the Väder Islands. The community also has an outdoor stage "Scen på Bönn" which during the summer has several different events in music and children's theatre. From Hamburgsund, a car ferry goes over to neighboring Hamburgö with more nice bathing spots and coastal paths with fantastic views of the surroundings and the archipelago's many islands. In some of the lakes a boat is also provided when purchasing a fishing license. The cottage is located right between the popular destinations of Vimmerby with Astrid Lindgren's World and Gränna with polka pig making next to Vättern and Visingsö. Perfect for day trips for both big and small holidaymakers. Entrance to the cottage from the terrace into the open hall with living room. In this cozy room there is a sofa bed for two and a ladder that leads up to the sleeping loft with two single beds which can easily be pushed together to make a double bed. Here the ceilings are a bit low but very cozy. On the lower level there is the kitchen with all the possibilities for self-catering. A sleeping alcove with bunk beds next to the kitchen and a very fresh bathroom with shower and toilet. Patio with barbecue barrel and benches where you can make a fire with wood or coal.
