The area the cabin is located in is really nice and peaceful, here you can relax and be close to nature. At the same time, there is Falkenbergs Golf Club and several restaurants such as Prostens and Skrea Matbruk and Lilla Napoli as well as Skrea Strand with its entire range of restaurants and cafes, course golf, tennis courts and bathhouses within cycling distance. The cabin is bright and fresh with a functional kitchen and when the weather permits, the outdoor spaces are used for all meals and coffee breaks of the day. Falkenberg is known for its salmon fishing in Ätran, which those interested in fishing do not want to miss (make sure to buy a fishing license beforehand). The popular beach Skrea strand is not far from the town centre, you can get there by bus or walk there. There are plenty of other lovely bathing spots within a few kilometres distance. Stroll through the Old Town and admire the picturesque view, stop for a coffee in one of Falkenberg's excellent cafés, such as Ståhlbom's and Borgmästargården. Take a walk along the River Ätran and admire the stunning view. Falkenberg offers shops, restaurants, bars, music events and many other activities. Children will enjoy a trip to the ice cream factory in Slöinge, with it's ice cream café and outlet. Another nice place to visit is Tylösand, one of Sweden's most famous and popular beaches, situated close to Halmstad, about a 30 minute drive from Falkenberg. Not far from Sweden's southernmost vantage point in Smygehuk, this charming house is located in a cluster of typical cut for Skåne. In the middle of Smygehamn's small center, a couple of steps (75 m) from the beach. The beautiful south coast extends in both directions where you will find several of Skåne's beautiful bathing spots. From the courtyard with several other surrounding houses there is its own parking space. From the paved patio, next to the entrance, among fig trees and shrubs, the evening sun is best captured. Here is genuine Swedish wilderness in a hilly and wild forest landscape with dramatic fissure valleys, beautiful forest lakes, giant blocks at Stenkälla, views from the Trollkyrkobergen and the beach at Vitsand. Worth a visit is also Forsvik's lock, which was built in 1813, Göta Kanal's both the oldest and highest single lock. Please note: The cottage is not rented out to youth groups. On the headland between Ivösjön and Oppmannasjön, a monastery was built and parts of the old monastery church and the monks' kitchens are preserved in today's buildings. Karsholm Castle is also located by Oppmansjön. It is about 15 km to Kristiansstad. Here you should take a look at the well-preserved, historic city center. Also worth seeing is the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Trinity Church. The three boulevards, which have given the city the nickname "Little Paris", are fantastic to stroll around. There are plenty of restaurants, good shopping and museums. Tivoli Park offers relaxation with the Art Nouveau Theater and Cafet in Fornstugan. For nature lovers, we recommend a trip to the biosphere reserve Vattenrike. Here you can go on a bird safari by boat, bike or on foot. The best time to visit Vattenrike is early summer and summer, when more than 130 bird species nest here. You can get to Åhus and the coast in less than an hour by car.
