For those who are interested in animals, there are cows in the pastures around. The lovely garden has plenty of place to play and hang out. The house consists of two floors. On the first floor you will find the hall with a comfortable armchair. Two bathrooms, in one there is a shower. All four bedrooms are located on the first floor. There are two single beds in each bedroom. Upstairs you will find a large family room with an open kitchen with complete equipment. There is a door to a large balcony with a fantastic view of Lake Vättern. In the family room there is a cozy wood-burning stove with a comfortable sofa group and plenty of space to socialize. The room is hunting inspired with stately trophies on the walls. Fiber is available in the house. Nearby you will find the wonderful city "Gränna" with its famous polkagris production and cozy atmosphere. From here you can also take the ferry out to Visingsö if you want to make an excursion. In Gränna and on Visingsö there are farm cafes, flea markets and cozy shops. If you want to do other excursions, the Bauerleden, Grännaberget are recommended, visit Girabäcken and take "magical boat tours" in Bunn. Keep in mind that Vretaholm is an active farm, so tractors and people moving in the yard. Cottage guests do not have access to the barn, other outbuildings or the main building. You must not miss the magical sandy beaches Gotland has to offer, the nearest sandy beaches for you are Norderstrand, Gustavsvik and Snäck which are located in Visby about 8 minutes drive from the accommodation. But you will find one of Gotland's absolutely finest beaches on Fårö; Sudersand. If you choose to go south, there are beaches such as Tofta and on the east side, Ljugarn and Sandviken are recommended. Visby and Gotland are bursting with life and movement during the summer. A nice walkway leads you to the cottage where you reach the entrance via the terrace which extends from one long side of the house to one short side. Here you can eat good food or go to Afterbeach in the summer. From Gottskär you can look at the fishing boats or book a boat trip out to Nidingen. Near the cottage is the beautiful nature reserve Ölmanäs where you can walk and read about the area. Welcome to a delightful holiday home, located by lake Vättern, in Västergötland. This charming house is as charming on the inside as it is on the outside, and is set on a forest plot of 2000 square metres. It consists of a basement, a ground floor, and an upper floor. The ground floor features a hall, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom with underfloor heating, a biological toilet (an earth closet from 2018), a washbasin, and a washing machine. The shower and the sauna are in the basement. In the basement you'll also find a second living room with a sofa bed. The kitchen features the necessary amenities, and the living room features a sofa bed for two, a stove, a TV, and a DVD-player. The upper floor features two beautifully decorated bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed and an extra bed. the owner has a high concern for the environment and asks that the guests share this approach. Please note: The cottage is not rented out to youth groups. The town of Karlsborg is close and offers shops and culture. The national park of Tiveden is a must-see, as are the red water lilies of Fagertärn, and the castle Stjernsunds Slott. Tiveden is only a 25-minute drive away. Hova arranges a medieval market, with jousting, one week a year, which you might be able to catch. Örebro is a good destination for a day trip, it takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes to drive there. The city centre of Örebro was voted the most beautiful in Sweden in 2015. Don't miss the marvellous castle from the 1300's when you are there! Other fun activities in Örebro include a guided “ghost walk”. The largest waterpark in Sweden is situated in Gustavsvik, and is also worth a visit. Here you live in the heart of Södermanland in a converted barn with lots of charm preserved, surrounded by beautiful nature and horse paddocks. The house consists of a large living room with several seating areas in different corners and a large kitchen in the middle of the room. There are two terraces, one on each side of the house. The house is perfect for two families or maybe for some special celebration. The house has 3 bedrooms with a total of 9 beds, divided into both single beds and bunk beds. The house also has a number of extra beds available if needed. Rent the wood-fired hot tub on site, which is filled by the host family, for wonderful evenings with a wonderfully soothing view of the forest and grazing horses. There is plenty of forest for lovely walks, berries and mushrooms are available to pick during the season. Bicycles are available for rent. On the farm to which the house belongs, there is the opportunity to ride, try clay pigeon shooting etc. Depending on agreement with the owner. In the immediate area there are good swimming opportunities in Lake Likstammen, but it is not far to the Baltic Sea if you prefer to swim in the sea. If you like golf, there are several nice golf courses nearby. Sörmland is a beautiful cultural area but nice small towns like Mariefred, Trosa and Nyköping to discover. The cottage with its farmhouse is located separately and has a spacious plot with several sitting areas, a large lawn and its own barbecue area. A new, beautiful small country fence has been put up around the entire plot. At the nearby lake Barken there is a fine sandy beach, long docks and access to your own boat. The house consists of a well-equipped kitchen with a warming stove. To the right from the entrance is a livingroom with a sofa bed for two people. From the kitchen you enter the bathroom with shower and new washing machine. The second floor is reached via a small, steep staircase with a low ceiling. Up there is a family room and a small bedroom with two single beds. In the annex, right next to the main building itself, there are two bedrooms furnished for accommodation during the summer. On the ground floor there is a bunk bed and on the second floor a bedroom with two single beds Electricity is included and a gas element is available for use should it be required. Adjacent to the apartment, a charming outhouse has been built that can be used in an EMERGENCY. Torpet is 10 km from Gekås shopping center in Ullared. Nearby there is incredibly beautiful nature with, among other things, Akulla beech forests with many fine hiking trails. Those who play golf are close to several golf courses. The famous seaside resorts of Varberg and Falkenberg are about 40 minutes away by car. Train connection to the big city of Gothenburg is 45 minutes from Varberg.
