The familiar sandy beach of Husbyvik is about 6 km away, where there are bathing jetties, a barbecue area with benches and grassy areas. If you want to try your luck at fishing, it's fine from the beach, fishing is free in the entire Baltic Sea. The nearest town/city is Söderköping, a charming small-town idyll with the Göta canal running through the city, surrounded by old buildings, shopping, cultural monuments and restaurants along the harbor, a very picturesque city center, well worth a visit. Starting in Söderköping, there are fine separate cycle paths along Sweden's well-known Göta canal with many locks. As a day trip, a visit to Arkösund at the far end of the sea belt is also suitable, here there is a lot of boat traffic, many events, restaurants and tour boats that can be booked to see the outermost sea belt with cobbles and skerries. Along the entire coast following Stegeborg, there are many small villages and towns that are worth seeing and suitable for excursions.
