There are many wild boars in the area and therefore the plot has an electric fence around it which only comes on during the night to avoid the lawn being torn up and other vicissitudes to be left alone. Grythyttan and its surroundings in Bergslagen offer a number of interesting sights and activities. Here are some places that are nearby and worth exploring. Grythyttan's Gästgivaregård, which dates back to the 17th century. It is a charming place that also contains a reputable restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Swedish food. Grythyttan has several beautiful buildings well worth visiting, Grythyttan's Church, for example, is from the 17th century with a special architecture. A visit to Loka Brunn is also recommended. With a long history, the organized spa activities started there in 1720. You can reach Loka Brunn in about 15 minutes by car. Nora city is about 30 minutes away by car and has beautiful walking paths around Lake Nora and why not take the opportunity to taste the good Nora ice cream. For nature lovers and hikers, the Bergslagsleden is an excellent way to explore the surrounding nature. The trail stretches through forests, over lakes and past historic sites. There are several stages that suit both the advanced hiker and you who are beginners. Make a detour to Klackberget where there are interesting limestone formations and is popular with both hikers and those who like to climb. In a scenic area by Blekinge's largest lake Halen, just next to Olofström, is this fresh, newly renovated house. Own garden in residential area with mostly summer houses, adjacent to the forest and footpath down to the beach. The house is well planned and has a spacious living room with comfortable seating in the corner sofa in front of the stove and around the dining table. The kitchen area in connection with the possibility of all amenities for self-catering. From the living room there is also a patio door to the patio furnished with garden furniture, a lovely place for hanging out during your vacation. Fishing is permitted in limited quantities, but please visit the tourist office in Olofström for information and purchase of fishing licenses for more fine fishing waters. A visit to Holje park can also be recommended to experience history through the local museum located there. There is also a sports field, outdoor stage and other activities such as track golf. At the campsite a stone's throw from the house, there are more possible activities such as electric light tracks, boat rental and summer open service shop and restaurant. IKEA Museum (Älmhult), Brio Lekoseum (Osby) and Ebbamåla Mill/foundry can be reached in less than an hour by car from here, the latter only 20 minutes away. For those interested in music, the Swedenrock festival in Norje Boke is a well-attended event at the beginning of June every year. There is a bus connection to the festival area from the adjacent campsite by the cottage. Welcome to Blekinge, also called "Sweden's garden".

It is only 30 km to Vimmerby where you can enjoy wonderful days at Astrid Lindgren's World or let the children play at Kalles Lek & Lattjo. You only have 6km to Hultsfred, here you can find a grocery store, restaurants, swimming area etc. There are plenty of swimming lakes in the area, Hesjön 6km away has a wonderful swimming area with a beach, jetties, jumping tower, beach volleyball court and barbecue area. The Hammarsjö area (6km) with its 25 lakes is known for its fine fishing. The short-fishing area offers high-class rainbow fishing. There are also bathing areas with both sandy beaches and cliffs, hiking trails and a nature spa with sauna and hot tub for rent. In Målilla you can see speedway, a given folk festival you don't want to miss. There is also an elk park here. You don't have far to the coast, where in Västervik you can take boat trips out into the archipelago and in Oskarshamn take the ferry over to Norra Öland. Along the bright hall are the three bedrooms with double beds and a lake view. In one of the bedrooms, a TV screen is placed but no channels. The advantages of this house are many, the area is quiet and rural with several nice bathing opportunities nearby. Rimforsa has a good grocery store close by, there is mini golf, commercial garden, paddle course and nice restaurants with scenic surroundings. Worth a visit is Rimforsa beach, and Storgården why not try their fantastic tasting menu. There is a fantastic promenade around lake Åsunden with many beautiful places and bathing cliffs. There is something to do for everyone when you plan your excursion destinations both in the nearby area or if you go into the city of Linköping 40 km away. There you can visit the air force museum, Old Linköping in the city quarter Valla, good shopping in the city and good food. For the cultural, one likes to visit the cathedral and the castle at Borggården. 10 km northwest of Linköping is the lock area known as Bergs slussar, the Göta canal's largest lock staircase. You come here to see boats closing the locks, eat good ice cream, rent a bike or take a cooling bath. 13 kilometers away is Trollegater Nature Reserve, a well-visited place suitable for everyone in the family. Trollegater is one of Sweden's largest ancient rock caves. It is 55 kilometers to Astrid Lindgren's world in Vimmerby and 110 kilometers to Kolmården's zoo in Norrköping. Apelviken is one of Northern Europe's best windsurfing beaches with an established surfing culture. As soon as the wind permits - and the ice is not lying - the enthusiasts are out and the sea surface is filled with sails. You are close to several nice summer restaurants by the sea. The nice beach promenade takes you all the way to Varberg. An electric train runs from Apelvikens Holiday Resort/Camping, along the promenade into the city centre. Varberg is a popular destination with the medieval castle Varbergs Fästning as an important landmark. In Varberg there is Halland's cultural history museum, which is known for the Bockstensmannen. In the city there are theaters, a cinema and a large number of concerts are given in summer. Many appreciate Varberg for its cozy little streets with good shopping. Fun little shops, market stalls every Wednesday and Saturday and in the harbor below the fortress a row of arts and crafts stalls. Just outside Varberg is Getterön, one of Sweden's most famous birding areas. There are also exhibitions, a shop and a café here. Another nice excursion destination is the Åkulla beech forests and for those of you who are technically interested, it is not far to the world heritage site Grimeton.
