Popular archipelago communities such as Valdemarsvik, Loftahammar and Västervik lie like a string of pearls. Don't miss the summer town of Västervik with its picturesque town centre, its restaurants, and many summertime events. There is also an adventure pool at Lysingsbadet. Popular Loftahammar with boaters, restaurants, cafes and cooling baths by beaches and cliffs. Tour boats depart for the archipelago from both Loftahammar and Västervik. Sanda is one of the island's villages with a small fishing port overlooking Karlskrona town. South of Sanda there is a bridge connection to Tjurkö and the larger fishing harbor Ekenabben.

You can get here with a couple of minutes ride on a car ferry that runs several times an hour from Furusund via the island of Yxlan. You get off the ferry and cross Yxlan before you drive on the next ferry that takes you to Blidö. This goes very quickly and smoothly.
