Welcome to this completely newly renovated fresh annex on Rossö, the island that is known as the center of lobster trade and for its fine coastal hiking trails and paths through pine, beech and oak forest and its many bathing areas with both sandy beaches and rock baths with lovely views of the Koster Sea. Västra Rossö is also part of Kosterhavet's marine national park, which is geologically interesting with extensive pebble fields, interesting flora, rhombus porphyry, as well as several so-called giant potholes. In Strömstad there is a large selection of activities, rich restaurant life, nice shopping in small shops that are close to each other or why not just sit and enjoy all the boats in the harbor area. From the cottage you walk, take the city or free buses to the city center and all the entertainment or to the bathing areas that there are several to choose from. If you want to experience islands and archipelago environment, there are several boat charters and bathing boat trips from the harbor in the center out to several archipelago islands such as Furholmen or Koster Islands but also to neighboring Norway. It is also possible to rent a boat or kayak for your own explorations.
