At the north end of Fjellfroskvannet is a long sandy beach with a gazebo, a campfire site and the possibility of camping and swimming. In winter, the area offers great skiing and hiking opportunities right from the cabin, including to Hattavarre (Háhttávárri) at 1407 m above sea level.
