Comfortable cabin in wilderness surroundings at Skaidi. Nice view. Great starting point for day trips by car. Possibility of seeing Northern lights during winter. This cabin, completed in 2016, is located on the hillside up from Skaidi. The cabin is comfortable and has many modern solutions and underfloor heating in all living spaces on the ground floor. The cabin is on 2 levels with a kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace, bathroom and 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, while the first floor consists of a large living room and one bedroom. Large windows in the living room provides a wonderful close contact with nature and a panoramic view towards Skaididalen and the river Skaidielva. From the living room on the ground floor, there is access to a large terrace. Living room with Satellite TV with many international channels, including German ones. Car parking directly by the cottage in summer, in winter there 50 m away. There are several other cabins in the area. This is a great place to experience Finnmark's beautiful nature both summer as winter. In spring and summer, the bright polar nets are a sight to behold, especially when the midnight sun shines. Winter is the time for darkness and the northern lights are definitely worth seeing. 4 km to alpine trail. Skaidi is a great and safe place for a winter holiday. 500 m to shop and eatery. Skaidi is also a great starting point for day trips by car around Finnmark, to Nordkapp and to the Russian border in the east. The Sami settlements of Karasjok and Kautokeino in the interior Finnmark is worth seeing. Skaidi is surrounded by wilderness that invites you to wonderful hikes, berry picking and fishing in the many fishing waters in the area. 300 m to Repparfjordelva, a great salmon river. To fish, you will need to purchase a fishing license. 5 km to the fjord Repparfjord, for fishing from shore. In autumn, the conditions here are good for hunting small game. Landlord offers snowmobile rental, price is given on request.

Newer cottage, bright and pleasantly furnished. The cabin has an open-plan layout, where the living room is equipped with a sofa group, TV, and a fireplace for cold winter evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, one with a double bed, two with a family bunk bed with a 150 cm double bed downstairs and a single bunk upstairs, and the last room has 1 bunk bed for two people. The view and nature can be enjoyed through large roof to floor windows. This is the perfect cabin to enjoy the Norwegian mountains and for easy access to hiking trails and mountain terrain. Near the cabin, you can take a drive to the center of Øyer, where you will find both grocery stores and restaurants. If you want to try downhill cycling, this is very close from Hafjell. Hunderfossen family park, Lilleputthammer and Lekeland are also nearby. The mountain offers great hiking opportunities, and you can, for example, take the gondola up to the mountainside for a great experience.

A fish-smoker is available. You can catch trout and salmon in Surna, a river 500 metres away. There are other rivers in the area, plus a mountain lake with trout, where you can borrow a boat. 9 km to the village of Skei with many facilities. The mountains of Trollheimen has over 200 peaks with an altitude of more than 1000 metres. Distances to different sights / cities: Kristiansund 102 km + ferry, the Atlantic Road is 131 km + ferry, Mardalsfossen (waterfall) 135 km + ferry.

At the boathouse directly below the cottage, there are 1 boat and 2 kayaks for rent: • 1x 14 foot Vernøy with 15 hp Yamaha engine. • • 2x sea kayaks including oars and paddle vests.

The house has been expanded several times between 1850 and 1988, and has a magnificent panoramic view facing Storhesten, a mountain reaching 1209 mamsl. There is bed space for 12 people in the cottage, but it is recommended for 8 people. There are 2 verandas with panoramic views of the impressive scenery. Almost every night you can see deer passing by or hear eagles whooshing over the cottage. The boat is situated by Dalsfjorden in Bygstad. The rivers that run here are known for its salmon, and the fish-rich narrow fjord stretches all the way to Askvoll by the coast. You can also rent bigger boats in Bygstad if you want to go further out at sea to fish. You can also rent canoes. There are many hiking trails in the area, and some of them lead up to the mountain tops. The bedrooms on the first floor are small, but you can move the mattresses to the combined living room and bedroom on the second floor and look at the fantastic view of the mountains. There is plenty of space. This is an exciting house with many possibilities and room for many people.

It also has perfect hiking conditions both summer and winter, and you can go skiing in the mountains. You can fish in the fjord with fishing rods from land. There are several fishing lakes in the area, like Jægervatnet, that has salmon, trout and arctic char. A fishing licence is mandatory for lakes and rivers.
