Even though the weather left a lot to be desired at the beginning of our week (as you can expect in Normandy), we enjoyed it. of the house, of the surroundings and later in the week also of the beautiful weather.
The house is located on a fairly quiet road on the property of the very friendly owner who lives across the street. We were allowed to park the car in an open shed. The holiday home itself is equipped with all amenities. The beds were made when we arrived! There is a smart TV and there is internet, although it may be a bit slow for the avid user (like our teenager). There is an enclosed garden that leads to fruit trees and a little further to a meadow with cows.
There is plenty to see in the area, especially focused on what happened on D-Day. On Fridays there is a market in Valogne. When we were there there was live music. You can also go there for a supermarket. If you are looking for a larger city, Cherbourg is recommended.
All in all, this house is recommended if you like peace and quiet and if you like to visit historical places, you can also indulge yourself there. The friendly owner and the pleasant home will certainly contribute to a wonderful holiday!

A very nice house, what you see in the pictures is what you get! Very friendly owner who was waiting for us and gave a good tour and explanation. Nice quiet house, enough space (2 adults and a large dog) and quiet environment. Good night's sleep due to silence at night. Sufficient space to place a trailer and car in the parking lot. The owner is also always easily accessible if there were any questions. We will definitely go back!

Nice house! Very well equipped with almost all practical things you can think of. We were very happy with good kitchen utensils and crockery. Minus point according to the adolescent: although the WiFi connection itself was strong, the internet was quite slow, the same for 4G.
The cottage is in a quiet place, great place to explore the tip of Normandy. For part of the D-Day beaches it is a bit far away (Omaha beach is an hour's drive, so we did not visit the beaches further east), although that just depends on what you find far. Cherbourg is nearby, as is Tatihou, the Vauban and St Mere Eglise tours.
Last but not least: Landlord Vincent is very easygoing and nice!

Had a nice stay of a week. The house has good amenities in the kitchen and a nice TV. The steps to the bathroom and bedroom were a bit difficult for my disabled husband, but manageable for a stay of a week. For groceries and sights you have to drive a few kilometers. The coastal towns are worth a visit.

Warm welcome by the 80-year-old owner. Simple cottage, but a fine private garden behind the house. Centrally located between the D-day landing beaches, Cherbourg and beautiful coastal walks.

Belvilla This is rural, to sunbathe with a private garden. We very much enjoyed the peace and hikes in the area. Plenty of museums around HINTS landings on D-Day. The beach is only a half hour. A day trip to Mont Saint-Michel is a must, but two hours each reis.Tip Go "late on the sunbeds in the garden's look at the stars. Very little light pollution, beautifully fifteen minutes had with a glass of wine.

The cottage was good to find (although we are driven via the TomTom and not via the directions). We were received very warmly by the owner. The cottage was simple, but completely furnished. Cozy in French style. The garden is wonderful to sit in. Places with sun, but also with shade, something for everyone.

Take it easy to take the last part of the outward journey. Arrived at 4 o'clock (thanks to Tomtom). You will really appreciate the house if you stand at the back: beautiful space with orchard, birds, rabbits and other (very) small game. For people with reduced mobility, a different house is more suitable. Environment: hilly, green with many high-hedged roads, many small towns and a number of beautiful provincial towns and coastal and coastal areas. harbor places. At a few kilometers beautiful coasts with a few swimming possibilities. Cycling is possible with a city bike, if you are in shape. Incidentally, beautiful MTB routes. Plenty of walking routes in the area, in the green, and alternating near the sea. Information even in Dutch (free) available at "VVV". Many more choices at 5 km in Quettehou. This is an ideal area for resting.

The GPS coordinate could be found for it. However, be careful because the cottage is set back from the road. The path goes on and you will own the charming huisje.De only speaks French, he makes every effort to be the holiday a success if you love peace. The cottage was fairly clean for French standards. The WIFI is fair to poor in the evening. One afternoon was the owner we had fresh mackerel. We ate delicious. The landscape is very hilly, bicycles that you do just once, violently. On the coast is the lovely walk along the GR223. The week ended with a Calvados with the owner. Was a wonderful week in Normandie

From the outside, the house looked somewhat dated. Not everything was cleaned well in the house. Moreover, there were all sorts of food in the fridge of the previous tenants.

Really enjoyed in "our" French holiday! It was not very big but everything you need is in it. The owner was helpful and friendly, he even invited us for tea / coffee when we arrived and the night before we left we were even invited for an appetizer ... the setting was fantastic, lots to see and do and especially the Second world war has certainly left its mark American Cemetery was very impressive.
