On June 21st we received an email that we would receive a key code 2 days before departure. On August 29th we called you because we had not received anything yet. The gentleman said that the code in the letter is: 1982 the code.
When we arrived in France, this code turned out to be no longer active (since 5-7)!!!! Nice French people helped us by calling the owner! And after almost an hour we were able to enter with code 2022.
It also says that there should be a fire extinguisher. This is not the case. Very sloppy because there is a lot of wood in the house!!!
Furthermore, the house was fine, very clean and comfortable.

The cottage is well located and has every comfort.Leuk welcome gift and lots of tourist information. It may not be ideal with smaller children (not a full-fledged 3rd bedroom and very thin walls)

Cosy furnished cottage, equipped with all usual conveniences and with undamaged kitchen utensils. Pleasant reception by the owner.
The baker is within cycling distance in Villedieu, a bit of a climb. Supermarkets also in Villedieu-les-Poêles. The cottage is in a suitable location for visits to Le Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux, Caen, the invasion beaches, Granville etc.
Not so important to us, but perhaps to others: the mezzanine floor is made of wood, partly because of this the bedrooms upstairs are a bit noisy.

The house is beautiful, neat and spacious enough, with a large garden where you can play football and table tennis. Everything you need is there. The only thing I would recommend is an internet connection. Since the 4G connection is not always good here, Wifi could be useful. For reservations and especially when you have to fill in documents due to covid, etc., it is quite a hassle to do this in the tourist office of Villedieu ... Although they are very friendly and helpful there! The cottage is very well located as a base for many destinations. From here we have visited Villedieu-les-Poêles (of course!), Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel, as well as Granville and the Iles Chausey (recommended!), Carolles beach, the D-day beaches and Sainte -Mere-Eglise. The zoo in Champrépus (only a fifteen minute drive) is also recommended for children. A well-kept zoo! Our week was too short to visit Coutances, Cherbourg, Saint-Lô, Bayeux and Caen :-)

We loved our stay at this holiday home! The rooms were bright and cozy, and having a fully equipped kitchen made it super easy to prepare meals, The location is ideal for exploring Normandy, and we made a fun day trip to Champrepus Zoo, which is just a short drive away, The garden was a big hit with the kids, they spent hours playing on the equipment, Check-in was smooth, and the owner was really friendly, leaving us some local treats, Overall, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy some quality family time!

And with the holiday home in Normandy. Neat and spacious enough. Good beds. However, there are few pans and no beer glasses at all. Inventory is otherwise good. The landlords are very nice.

The holiday home met our desired requirements. The interior of the house was neat and clean. The owner of the house is friendly, service-oriented, and very helpful. So far, our compliments. However, finding the house requires a lot of effort. Even the local residents do not know where the house is located. After much effort, we were able to find the house (partly by accident), but 'the search' took us a little over an hour and a half.

Spacious house. Beautifully situated garden. Unfortunately no good sitting garden chairs, other facilities are more than sufficient / good. Nearby villages are also easily accessible on foot. Every now and then there is a lot of noise from a traffic road nearby.

The photos are quite misleading; the cottage is much smaller in real life than it appears online. Unfortunately, the insulation on the first floor was inadequate, and we experienced a blocked drain that caused unpleasant odors. The host was difficult to deal with, constantly critical, and even sent photos after our stay pointing out a single hair under the bed and a small smudge on the mirror. Overall, not a pleasant experience. We would not stay here again.

We are two weeks on holiday in Les Vaux with our family, consisting of parents and four boys (9,8,5,0). We love gehad.Les Vaux is a great holiday in a very central location. We made trips to among others the beaches Granville, Genet and Haut-sur-Mer. Coutances and Villedieu-les-Poêles are nice towns. Furthermore, Le Mont-St-Michel worth a visit. Very nice we found it to climb and dredge with our sons around the island (at low tide). Obviously been a long day at the landing beaches (Utah, Omaha), the Utah Museum, St-Mere-Eglise (we found off putting some), Pointe-du-Hoc (great for our boys with all those bunkers) and an American cemetery . swum twice, once in an outdoor Brescey, once inside Villedieu-les-Poêles. Also a day out with the canoe at Condé-sur-Vire (varying distances are possible). Finally went to St Malo, a little further away but definitely worth waard.Gastvrouw was very nice and sweet, even had delicious crepes baked for us. Kids had plenty of space to play around the door, which came out with the weather.
