The "Turm zur Pfaffenley" in Strotzbüsch is a very romantic holiday home - right on the edge of the forest, with an infinite number of different bird sounds that bid you goodbye in the evening and wake you up again in the morning. It's very quiet, just the right place to relax undisturbed. The surrounding Vulkaneifel offers many beautiful excursion destinations, but you can also start a hike through green hills and forests directly from the turret. The tower-shaped holiday home offers a wonderful, spacious living room on the 1st floor with 6 windows looking out onto the surroundings - you can see the greenery everywhere. On the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen, bathroom and sauna (the latter for a fee). And in front of the house, a sitting area under the trees offers the opportunity to have breakfast in the country or simply to relax. Highly recommended!

We were in the tower from 11 to 18.05.19. It was a dream. Very quiet, but versatile. Also, the caretaker on site was very quick to be on the spot if something was wrong. Again and again we would go here. Can just be recommended .

Is wonderful to stay here during the fall. House is wonderfully cozy. Walking in the area is beautiful. At a restaurant within walking distance you can eat delicious and it is not expensive. Definitely and recommended

We were there for the second time to spend a few nice days, as expected everything was as it should be. You just feel good in the small tower and you can relax in the seclusion of Strotzbüsch. For the beginning of summer we have booked another week to experience the Eifel in summer too.

The holiday home is located in a serene area, surrounded by nature, which we found to be rejuvenating, It was spacious enough for our family, and the kids enjoyed playing in the garden, The heating worked well, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay, Overall, a pleasant experience, though we wish the weather had been a bit nicer!

The bedroom upstairs is cozy. It's a pity that you can't see outside well through the windows. The kitchen downstairs is very dark and therefore a bit uninviting. The surroundings are beautiful.

Nice and distinctive cottage, downstairs beautiful bathroom and fine kitchen. And underfloor heating, very pleasant. Upstairs is dated but is adequate. In good weather, it's a nice home, but in less weather it's not a nice home to sit in. You can not look outside and we did not like that. Furthermore, a very nice quiet spot from which to make great trips.

The location was great, unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired
If there were fly screens on the windows, you could also ventilate and there wouldn't be such a "mold smell".
Among other things, it would be nice if the cobwebs were removed,
You should also wash the curtains and curtains to darken would also be nice, and fresh paint would be a bit friendlier
Despite all this, the holiday was nice

The house is very outdated, poorly delivered, and very poorly cleaned. We had to unclog the shower and the sink ourselves. It was a filthy mess outside as well. All the windows are full of cobwebs and no attention is paid to them at all. Think carefully before you book this house. The rest of the experience is good for walking with our dogs. You can do that beautifully. Even the glasses that were in the kitchen had to go in the dishwasher first because they had brown residue on them.

We stayed in this holiday home from May 24 to 31. Upon arrival, it turned out that no one was home at the address where we were supposed to pick up the key. A nice neighbor then showed us the way. The outside of the house was downright filthy. The next day we woke up among flying ants. After a phone call, two people came to clean up the ants. The next morning and the days after, it was the same again. We then started to swat them ourselves. The last two days, guests arrived in the house opposite us, who parked their cars in such a way that we could hardly get past. We will not be coming back here!

We have a week may live in the turret. That was a nice belevenis.Vanuit this place we made several trips in the area, such as a walk around the volcanic lakes, a visit to Cochem, Nurburgring, Burg Eltz. Around the house it was quite nice rustig.Er were several people in the house, because there were quite a lot of cobwebs and that was very unfortunate.

The turret looks fairytale if you aankomt.Van in the fall was against the property absolutely clean !!! The layout of the space on the ground floor is unusual and we experienced as uncomfortable / unpleasant. The sanitary facilities are distributed across the hall in which you enter and in which the stairs to the upper floor. The sink for brushing teeth / personal care is placed left of the door, open the hall and in the right of the front door of the shower stall is placed, you step directly from the hallway into the douchcabine. There is no bathroom! The shower rod where the shower head is hanging on lamb, to shower you have to hold the shower head in your hand. The kitchen equipment is minimal and, according to the definition, there would be a BBQ, which was not there. So we have just bought (and left). The mattresses are bad / worn. We have not made use of the sauna, so no idea how is.De area is nice for walks and visits to the volcanic lakes and castles!

This is the most special holiday we've hired so far. It is as if we have a house in the fairy forest in the Efteling inhabited. We found it to be a number of reasons, not so "a lovely house. It was very dark and cold inside. The sun was no chance surrounded by trees and cut. Cottage with small windows fitted in. Even on a sunny day it was dark inside. Heating the cottage was completely electric. At outdoor temperatures 10 degrees, it is not snug inside to get warm. It is in our opinion not a must for winter. In addition, the energy consumed separately should be settled. This can fledged additional costs, especially if the site sauna in the house is used several times. Visit more than 50 Euros extra charge per week for energy. The owner does not have the electric heater equipped with automatic on- switch-off as we had so left, the extra cost would have been much higher during the day, you do not have much presence as it is a beautiful area for walking (Tip Manderscheider Burgenstieg - 6 km).... Access to the cottage is on the terrace of another holiday.

The cottage is ideally situated for those looking for peace and quiet and lots of greenery. Due to the limited sunlight on the terrace was the high temperature (28oC) pleasant stay. There are currently a number of trees cut down to creëren.Het more sun on the terrace house was like a fairy tale just not really superschoon.Meeste trips are good to ride.

Super cute little tower on the village edge, quiet and cozy. A few meters from the woods and fields, ideal for walks but. Also well located for exploring the distant environment The tower is located in the shade of the trees, so it stays cool even in summer. Front and back of the house but you can well sit in the sun (behind the tower is still ne slope terrace with Nachmittags-/Abendsonne) For dog owners:. The garden does not go to the neighbors is eingezäunt.Strom: who wants to save and since it may cool should definitely turn off the automatic heating, because the eating much Strom.Einiges drawback: the beds were saggy unfortunately terrible.

A week goes by so fast that you absolutely must come back to marvel at all the beautiful mountains, valleys, crater lakes and the many other interesting attractions, such as z, as the Brubbel. We were here in the fall and have ausgiebiege walking tours and of course fungal collections made and can only recommend the Eifel. The small tower is haunted not just for romantics, but for those looking for rest and relaxation. We will come back-that's for sure! Ernst family from Jena in October 2010

Quietly located in a wooded area, the house has little or no sunny spot because it's surrounded by trees. But it does have its own charm, because it is built around. The sauna is a nice extra. Our dog enjoyed it, because it is nice to walk.

Quaint and cozy turret on top of a hill. The decor is rather dated, but everything works and the tower itself is beautifully restored. Slightly smaller than the photos suggest, but certainly big enough for 2 people. It was a nice and quiet week :-) Please note: The cottage has electric heating (elements). These appear to consume much power! (We had 116 kwh checkout for a week!). Also, the climb from the parking lot to the tower rather steep.
