Our stay at the Veltenhaus was simply delightful! The house is spacious, with a charming kitchen that quickly became our gathering spot, especially with the cozy wood-burning stove, We appreciated the two bathrooms, which made mornings a breeze for our family of six, The large garden was a hit with the kids, perfect for running around and playing games, Plus, the location is fantastic for exploring the beautiful Eifel region—don't miss the nearby Kasselburg castle! Highly recommend this place for a family getaway

Excellent accommodation, beautifully situated in the middle of the Eifel. Mürlenbach has no facilities, but does have an excellent bakery. Ideal place as a starting point for walks and bike rides.

The house is located in a nice little village and offers a good starting point for hikes or excursions. Dishes, bed linen, towels, etc. were sufficiently available and clean. It took a while to get warm in the house, we loved not to use the stove because it smoked a lot. The house is very noisy (can't be avoided in such an old house - with earplugs it was very easy to sleep there!) And the slatted frame fell out of two of the single beds. We still had a few nice days there and we especially liked the kitchen-cum-living-room!

Nice spacious house and spacious bedrooms. Equipped with everything you may need and also ample parking available. Located on a quiet street within walking distance of bakery and station. Neat house, not perfectly finished, but good to stay. TV reception is moderate / poor, but HDMI connection and decent free internet is available. Spacious garage / garage available for parking motorbikes, bicycles or other vehicles if you take them with you.

We found 80 € cleaning costs a bit on the high side.

A spacious house with a recognizable history: 1850 in the frame above the door. the castle is also beautiful; the Bertrada fortress, just behind the house. It was very hot during the holidays. The house remained wonderfully cool. around 23 degrees C. Spacious bedrooms and good beds.

Nice large kitchen with a large table where it is very nice to eat and play games. Fortunately also with a wood stove because the biggest downside is the heating of the house. There is central heating, but we have not been able to discover how and whether it could also be arranged. Sometimes it just seemed to catch on and often not, so that it was really too cold in the living room. But otherwise fine house with 2 bathrooms, 4 spacious bedrooms. Very friendly welcome, the house is spacious and fully equipped. The house is from 1850 so the doorposts are quite low, but that makes it wonderfully characteristic. 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs near the kitchen. we were there with 2 families and this did not cause any problems for us all. We each had a private bathroom. Bed linen and towels were good. Mattresses are very personal, I was the only one who didn't sleep well because I thought it was too hard. Here and there some overdue maintenance but in general it is a very neat house. We were happy to spend a week there. the area is really beautiful. Trier is a highly recommended, beautiful city. Everything can be found in the village of Gerolstein, just 10 km away. The only downside is that the garden is opposite the house, a bit further than we thought. You are less likely to sit in the garden for a while. Is therefore not used much by us. And upon arrival we were informed that the TV receiver had stopped, so no TV channels. The TV fortunately has a DVD player and there is a small collection of DVD "s. Also the wifi does not have the very best range. Furthermore, we had a fantastic holiday. I definitely recommend this house!

Everything went vlot.het house was a bit chilly on arrival (it was very cold outside temperatures below freezing), although the heating was on. The house is better represented in the pictures than in real life. It is an almost worn-out house that could use a complete renovation. From cracks in the bathroom tiles to a shower slide rail that does not work properly. From an outdated (but still functional) kitchen to old worn-out chairs in the living room. It could all use a little TLC and renewal.

The surroundings were nice. Eating out is a bad thing. If you have to find something, you will find your way. The tent is full. The TV was only 3 channels. The toilet was missing on the ground. Arrival was not clean, but it should be 75 euros Pay
